Texas Touring Roster
Hot Pickin 57s are proud to announce their selection to the 2026–2028 Texas Touring Roster by the Texas Commission on the Arts (TCA). The Touring Roster is the TCA's juried list of artists selected by a statewide panel. For us it's both an honor and an opportunity, because it expands our reach among Texas communities. See our official Texas Touring Roster listing.
We can offer you a concert, lecture-demonstrations and programs for schools, libraries, and senior centers.
What This Means for Texas Nonprofits
Texas 501(c)(3) nonprofits, schools, colleges, libraries, senior centers, city parks, or units of government, can qualify for TCA's Arts Respond Performance Support grant to cover up to 50% of our fees.
This grant is non-competitive. You're not bidding against other organizations. If your organization meets TCA's eligibility criteria and applies by the quarterly deadline, your application is funded on a percentage of our contracted fee (typically 25–50%), subject to TCA's available funds. The application is short. We can connect you with TCA for assistance.
📋 How to Apply — Quick Guide
- Confirm you're eligible. Texas 501(c)(3) nonprofits and government units (schools, libraries, cities, colleges) qualify. Set up your eligibility with TCA before the deadline; IRS confirmation can take two weeks or more.
- Pick your date and contact us. Email booking@hotpickin.com. We'll provide a contract showing the agreed fee, the figure your grant is calculated from.
- Apply by the quarterly deadline. Submit through TCA's online portal before the deadline for your performance window (see table below).
- What you can receive. Up to 50% of our fee, max $8,000 per performance, up to $12,000 per organization per fiscal year (Sept–Aug). A 1:1 match (at a minimum) is required on your side.
- Approval. TCA emails a recommended amount about two weeks after the deadline; it's confirmed at the next monthly Commission meeting. Non-competitive, no scoring against other applicants.
- After the show. File a short online report with financial documentation once the activity ends.
