We’re playing Honky Tonk Wednesday at the Globe Theatre in Bertram on Wednesday, March 3, 2027. Doors open at 6:30 PM and the show runs 7 to 9 PM. Admission is free.

The Globe was built by Bertram’s own business owners, who formed the Bertram Amusement Company in 1935 to give the town a modern picture show. Its walls are red granite from Granite Mountain, the same stone used in the Texas State Capitol. It opened to a packed house on August 20, 1935, and got its name that October from a town contest. The Globe showed movies until the early 1980s, then sat empty for decades. After a six-year restoration, the Art Deco theatre reopened in 2015. Today it hosts classic movies and live music.

Honky Tonk Wednesday is the Globe’s free show on the first Wednesday of every month. We’ll bring bluegrass, classic country and Americana for the evening.

The Globe Theatre is at 132 W. Vaughan St., Bertram, TX 78605.
