Hot Pickin 57s selected for Electric Lady Bird Music Collection

Very happy to announce that Hot Pickin 57s album Hot Picks has been selected for the Austin Public Library's Electric Lady Bird music collection. Jurors from the Austin Music community select a diverse array of musical styles to create a soundtrack for the Austin area. Electric Lady Bird delivers commercial-free, curated music from Central Texas artists. The Live Music Capital's best is served up, 24/7, through a user-friendly digital music platform.

Hot Pickin 57s is Austin’s favorite band playing an energetic, fun mix of Bluegrass, Classic Country and Americana. They released their debut self-titled CD in October 2017, and an EP entitled “Hot Picks” in October 2019, which has been played on over 30 folk and bluegrass radio stations all across the US and Canada.

Hot Pickin 57s is a 4-piece band featuring acoustic guitar, fiddle, banjo, mandolin and upright bass, along with lead and harmony vocals. They can also play as a trio or 5-piece band. Their influences range from Bill Monroe to Merle Haggard, Hot Rize to Hank Williams, Flatt & Scruggs to Johnny Rodriguez, Johnny Cash to John Denver, Blue Highway to Bob Wills, and more.
